Question by Uh huh, go on I’m listening: can anyone recommend a meal delivery service in the (US) New England area?
My mother is quite ill, I live out of state so unfortunetly I can’t shop or prepare meals for her, but I’d love to order premade dishes for her.
I’d like recommendations for a meal delivery service/website service her.
Preferably healthy, diabetic safe foods. That are yummy too! lol, she’s a cook at heart, so she loves great tasting food, not like your ordinary “microwave meals.”

I searched and searched for Meals on Wheels in New England but nothing came up. I thought you could start with this link above it is for services in MA but they can direct you to services in your mom’s area. It’s called Meals on Wheels and I read that they were having problems in New England with the program and getting volunteers to work because of inclimate weather. Check with the location in MA also they have Meals on Wheels in Rhode Island and you can check with them to see if they have programs where your mom is. Also check with the local Social Services office they would know of all types of community programs to assist the elderly. Hope this helps. Take care. Oh and Meals on Wheels is only $ 2.00 a day if they can afford it if not it is free.

The world has become a busy place it has many positive and negative effects towards theeconomy. One of the biggest concerns is fast food.
Due to laziness people have stopped cookingfood and have resorted to fast food restaurants. They eat it so often and are becoming obese. Yet most
people have not comprehended that most of the food is either extra old and contaminated.Therefore, consumers dont knoe ehat they are eating and
should be blamed for not eating healthy and gaining weight.
Fast food can be contaminated because the workers in the meat section are not careful. For example, they work too fast anmost of the time
manure endsup landing on the product. “But the nation s industrialized and centralized system of food processing has created a whole new sort of
outbreak, one that can potentially sicken millions of people.” [pg.195 Ch.9] the reason why we shouldn’t eat any products made by fast food companies
other than having heart problems and becoming overweight is that we can end up dying of illness.
People should stop being sloth’s and cok their own meals such as vegetable soups, sushi or food that contains fewer calories.The reason
why we need to cook our own food is because a varios amounts ofpeople are becoming overweight and are becoming dependent on fast food. “The
color of a food can determine the perception of its taste. The mind filters out the overwhelming majorityof chemical aromas that surround us, focusing
intently on some, ignoring others. People can grow accusomedtobad smells or good smells; they stop noticing what once seemed overpowering.
Aroma and memory are somehow inextricably linked. A smell can suddenly evoke a long-for-gottenmoment.The flavors of childhood seems to leave
an indelible mark, and adults often return to them, without alwways knowing why.” [pg.123 Ch.5] after consuming too much fast food meals it starts
becoming a routine without you noticing, which leads to health problems.
One of the situations, of eating fast food is that consumers think its the providers fault for having health issues.” On any given day in the
United States about one quarter of the adult population visits a fast food restaurant. During a relatively brief period of time, the fast food industry has
helped to transform not only the American diet,but also our landscape, economy, workforce, and popular culture.” [pg.3 intro] Therefore, the consumers
are the ones going back to eat their food and still complain that its the fast food industries fault.
In this decade americans have been spending too much money on fast food. No one has time for anything anymore but yet people still chose
to go to fast food restaurants instead of cooking an appropriate meal. ” In 1970, Americans spent about $ 6 billion on fast food; in 2001, they spent more
than $ 110 billion. Americans now spend more money on fast food than on higher education, personal computers, computer software, or new cars. They
spend more on fast food than on movies, books, magazines, newspapers, videos, and recorded music-combined.” [pg.3 intro] Americans are becoming
dependent on fast food and dont deliberate and try spending it on high quality things with the money they can be saving.
The fast food industry isbeing accused of selling unhealthy products which is true but noone is forced to buy it. Clearly its the consumers fault
for comitting the same mistake over and over. They eat fast food so often and contradict themselves by goin back to the place. “The fast food chains now
stand atop a hugefood-industrial complex that has gained control of American agriculture.” [pg.8 Intro] Fast food companies are at the topof the picture
but anyone can avoid eating unhealthy food. Do you really want to live this unhealthy way. Make a change in our society eat healthier and help stop obesity,
heart attacks,high cholesterol, cancer, and other illnesses. WE ARE THE NEXTGENERATION!

okay i got them from a lady who rescued them but she couldn’t keep them.
so anyway .. she gave me the food that she had been using but i read the ingredients and its first ingredients are corn meal and flour and by-products and all of that garbage that i know i should not be feeding them.
so my question is what is the best kitten food for them [they are both 7 weeks old]
and then as they grow, what is the best food for a young cat?
what im giving them now is dry food.. should it be canned? mixed?
right now ive been spritzing the food with water so its softer for them and they eat it up good.
they are such playful happy little things and i just want to keep them healthy. they are going to the vet next week for shots and to plan on neutering and all that so i guess i can ask him then but i just want a heads up from other cat owners.

let me narrate my story, please
give me appropriate advice as
per ur knowledge. . i have a
huge appetite, i can eat twice as
much as my dad and still feel
hungry after an hour. . I used to
be an obese kid in school, 65 kgs
at age 13, i just used to eat all
day, eat anything and travel by
car and sleep a lot. . maybe i
should have been a lot fatter that
way. . then after i finished
school, i realized that most of the
girls my age around me used to
starve themselves to get thin. . I
got motivated, started starving
myself, had to run around for
college and within a few days of
starving, i was a size medium. . I
got into medical college and here
i am known as a naturally slim
girl by people who hadn’t seen
me before. . my old friends fail to
even recognize me now. . I am
22 years old now. . 3 years into
college, lots of studies and
activities later, i am 45 kgs now. .
I get compliments for my
figure. . But i control my diet a
lot. . Since i am a heavy eater, i
have to downsize my meals a
lot. . How much other girls eat
normally doesnt satisfy me but i
try and try to eat less to stay
thin. . Less for me is still more for
the rest. . But whenever i come
home, i get lots to eat, i hog and
hog and become fat in just 3
days. . Even in college, on
weekends, i eat to my hearts
content sometimes. . Everything
fattening, bags and bags of
chips, coke, chocolates, pizza,
fries, bowls of rice, dessert bla
bla. . I can hog endlessly and it
doesn’t affect me the 1st few
days but after the 4th day it
starts showing so again i control
my portion, eat healthier and get
active. . Then within 3 days i get
skinny and tiny again. . What i
wanted to know is that i am
super confused about my
metabolism, is it fast or slow or
normal ? And am i naturally fat
or thin or average ? I never
know my natural size cause i
could never maintain a normal
eating regime due to my huge
appetite. If i eat like my friends,
maybe i will be at a more stable
and skinnier mode. I hate my
appetite and the way i can eat. I
am a foodie and love good food
but i love being skinny. I want to
remain thin no matter how much
i eat. But for that i need a fast
metabolism maybe. And maybe i
don’t have it. I gain easily, lose
easily. So what’s my
metabolism ? How do i reduce
my appetite ? What’s my natural
size ? Am so confused friends.

im 22.i have boyfriend who once used to be madlly in love with me by as time is passing by i have a feeling that he is going away from me.i feel distance between hearts.along our 2 years relationship he has never said once to go out togather on his own instead he feels happy to be in his friends company.he was the one who had tears in his eyes when we went out for the first time.he was happy to have me with me.he once fought and left his friends for my sake and now he has changed entirely.recently we discovered that he was suffering from brain tumour and because of it he became more dear to me althougt he has got and operation but still he is not healthy.he is very weak and sleeps a lot.after his disease he has changed so much i love him so much but the way he has starting dealing with me makes me mad on him and it all results in a fight every day
he also has forgotton to appologize.he also does not give much value to what i say [i.e.to sleep and rise on time,to eat fruits after every meal,take some walk,etc]i love him a lot and care too but its getting hard for me to continue coz sometimes i feel he loves me no more.he has stoped lisenting to whatever i say.i dont want to lose him.plz adivce me im felly worried and upset in fact im getting physco……..:(

I am a mother of three although I have only one spawn living at home. My daughter is currently 17 but a few months ago, when she was 16, we went on vacation to Spain. Our family used to live there so we hold it very dear to our hearts. My daughter, I believe to be anorexic. She is anemic and has trouble putting on weight but I believe that she does it deliberately as well, although her doctor won’t support me considering she’s never been outside the “healthy range”. My other daughter was anorexic and it was awful. I am constantly telling my daughter that she looks too thin, that her clothes are hanging off of her body and that she looks ghastly but she never listens.
We were outside a restaurant and I was hungry. My daughter said that she didn’t want to eat right away so I said that perhaps we ought to go into a store first. Well, I became more and more hungry and decided that I wanted to eat right away. My daughter refused to go. She said that she would go inside with us and get something in a take-out bag but doesn’t that defeat the purpose of a wholesome family outing? I said that this was her anorexia speaking and that she was ruining the vacation, as she always does. She exclaimed, “fine, I’ll go home then!” I told her that she should have gone sooner. She then stepped it up a notch saying that she was moving as soon as we got home, I asked her if she thought I cared. She said no and I told her that she wasn’t doing me any favors by staying at home. She then said that she was just nauseous, something her sister would always say at dinners. I told her that she looked ghastly and trashy, that she was just starving herself for attention.
I told her father that the only thing that would work with her was to take her outside and shake her. I kept yelling at him to take her outside and shake her but, my husband said that he didn’t “want to get arrested on this vacation”.
She tried to talk to me after that but I just yelled at her, “SHUT UP!”, at the top of my lungs. It didn’t shut her up. She NOW wanted to eat, saying she’d eat at any restaurant I’d pick. It was too late, the mood was ruined and I was crying. I told my husband to go back to the hotel right that instant and he did. I went out the car and told them to leave. They then drove to Applebee’s where she had a meal. I didn’t eat anything, I wasn’t in the mood to. She was about to go to the bathroom but I told her that she couldn’t unless she kept the bathroom door open. She’d gone to the bathroom many times that day and that was an OBVIOUS sign of bulimia. She said that she wasn’t going to go to the bathroom with the doors open, that there were too many mirrors in that “small hotel room” (which I paid for!) and that everyone could see her. I told her “fine”, and she said that she’d just get a bladder infection. She is so overly dramatic. She sat there for about half an hour before she got up again and I said that she could either keep the bathroom door open, or not flush the toilet so that I could look in it once she was finished. She said that she wasn’t going to have someone look at her pee. Did she think that that would affect me?
She said that I could listen to make sure she wasn’t vomiting but I’d already made her an offer and declined that. She was getting ready for bed, it was 11PM and we weren’t going anywhere for the night. She said that I was “crazy” and asked if I was a pervert. Who does she think she is? She said, “fine, I won’t go to the bathroom.” She was brushing her teeth and I was yelling at her dad that she wasn’t going to learn unless someone got physical with her. I told him to pull her pants down and make her use the bathroom, my husband (not very supportive of me, as I said) said that he was not going to pull down the pants of a 17/18 year old girl and make her use the bathroom. We argued for a bit before I had enough and I got up, threw my purse onto the ground and screamed at her, “I’M LEAVING!”
She was, by then of course crying and saying that she was sorry. It was too late. I said I was leaving forever and that she wouldn’t see me again. She said that she’d do anything I wanted and I screamed at her, as loud as I possibly could, “SHUT UP!” I was throwing things around the hotel room out of anger. She was saying, “I love you mom, I love you,” I interrupted her, yelling, “YOU ARE A C*NT.” She was crying and I ran down to the hotel lobby. My husband didn’t even follow me right away. I just cried. I saw him looking for me and I went up to my daughter’s room and the door was slightly open and she was rocking herself back and forth and crying, her face was bright red and she was repeating to herself, “I love you mama, please don’t go, I miss you, please don’t die.” It sounded as if she couldn’t breathe. This is typical of my daughter, taking something that is about someone else and making it about her. I’m sure that she didn’t think once about the emotional pain that this incident caused me. She couldn’t see me and I left

Here’s the plan and all the details:

DIET PLAN:
Breakfast
300-400 Calories = 2x or less bowls of cheerios with low fat milk
Breakfast-Lunch
200 Calories or less = Instant Oat Meal
Lunch
400-500 Calories = Two Ham Sandwiches with mustard and mayo
Lunch-Dinner
400-500 Calories = Cheese Veggies Pack & Miscellaneous (Fruits, Ham Sandwich, PB & J, etc., etc…)
Dinner
200-400 Calories = I never know what to eat around this time so sometimes I eat a hot pocket but I want to replace this with something more healthier?
And every Sunday the family will usually pig out and eat the unhealthy fats
. I do this sometimes but only when I feel like it.

EXERCISE PLAN:
5-7 Days a Week:
In the morning I wake up about 7-8 AM and run around the block which is about 2 miles. It takes me about 30 minutes and I’ve been going at intervals such as – [ Run for as long as possible until I really feel my heart pumping and then rest for a bit and repeat]
Lately it has been kinda random though. Like today I only WALKED the 2 miles and maybe I should plan on walking mornings and running another 2 miles in the evening? Or running in the morning and walking in the noon. I don’t want to bike really.

Other Details:
Okay I’ve checked online and my BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is around 1,900 – 2,000 calories day. Maybe I can get something more accurate if possible? Anyway…
If I combine my diet (gaining 1,800-2,000 calories a day) with my BMR I am pretty much MAINTAINING the weight. But when I add in the exercise, I am losing 300-500 calories per day if I calculate everything right. A pound is about 3,500 calories. So I’m losing about one pound per week.
I want to take off a bit more calories of what I eat currently and increase exercise so I can lose 2-3 lbs per week. I know this can be unhealthy and I found out that men should be eating 1,800 calories a day at the very least. So if I eat at my bare minimum and increase exercise I am hoping this will work.
So what should I change about my diet and exercise to lose more calories per day? Maybe add in Sundays to my work out? But I don’t want to be too stressed… And maybe I can find out a more accurate BMR for me? But asking a doctor is already out of the question.
Also I am trying to drink more water a day

Hello, I need to know how many minutes can I enjoy the feeling of being full, after consuming a nice 7-1300 calorie meal, before that food starts to enter my Small intestine, and I wouldnt beable to throw it back up. And yes Im being serious. …
I asked a question, I want an awnser, not a concern for my health.
Because, I like how everyone thinks throwing up, your just going to die instantly on the spot, have a heart attack, .. acid eating at your esophagus… etc…
Well… if you eat a bunch of food really really quick, and when you throw it up,… The first like 5 gags, is just pure food coming up, no stomach acid…
so I can litterally puke up more than half ( I like to call it Regirtitating) ..of my food before this lovely stomach acid comes up, and.. i always quickly brush my teeth and gargle mouth…and then slam a bunch of water,… so my “acids” dont do damage.
Now with that said. Just give me an awnser to my question.
For example, I just at 5 eggs, 15 chicken nugget, about 7 hard shell tacos(no food in them).. hand full of pistacios.. and a half container of cottage cheess.. and 1 full onion ( that I sauteed).. anyways.. its been 30 minutes.. and im going to bed.. and when i do the math..thats too many calories to sleep on.. so I would be healthier and better off puking up these calories.. rather than letting all this junk clog my arteries…
Yes maybe i shouldnt of done it in the first place.. its too late for that now, I have a decision to make.
First decision is.. would i be healthier leaving it in me, or out of me?.. i say out…
now that im about 45 minutes into consuming those calories.. how much of the food is now in my small intestine ..and unpurgable? thats my question

Yaya I know you guys are gunna be like oh just be happy about yourself but heres the reason I want to: my grandpa is heavy and he has heart problems and my mom is heavy and she has knee problems! I don’t want to end up like them and I know I’d be healthier if I lost some weight. I hate vegitables!! and fruits are okay but I am not eating vegitables. I’ve been trying to not eat unless I’m hungry or its a meal time but its not working very good. I’ve been doing sit ups on the couch and I’m going to start running on the treadmeal tonight and all the other nights my mom works because its at my grandmas is there any other ways I could go around loosing weight cuz I have bout seven weeks and I just want to be healthier thanks for helping guys
